If you have any questions regarding the uniform or you need any help, please contact the school office and they can advise you.

Footwear

Black shoes should be comfortable, low-heeled and strong enough to withstand a hectic and active school day.

Trainers should not be worn as everyday shoes for any child.

Sports

Suitable clothing for the P.E lessons must be provided. Black or red shorts and white T-shirt or polo-shirts are fine. Something warm to put on outside in the winter, a jumper or tracksuit is also useful. No child will be allowed on the apparatus unless suitably clothed. PE daps or plimsolls for the hall (trainers can be worn for outdoor PE activities) .

For safety reasons children will normally undertake indoor gymnastics activities in bare feet.

Children must bring a named bag to school to hold their P.E clothing. Due to lack of space in cloakrooms please do not send bulky sports bags.

Hair and Make-Up

Hair dying/colouring is not appropriate for school. Similarly, extreme haircuts, excessive use of hair products or motifs shaved into hair are to be avoided during school terms.

Hair bands and accessories should be plain and simple and not overly decorative. All long hair (boys and girls) needs to be tied back for every PE session.

Make-up, including nail polish, is not appropriate to be worn by pupils to school.

Jewellery

The only jewellery permitted in school are stud earrings and a watch. Earrings (small studs only) need to be removed for all PE activities after they have been pierced for 6 weeks or more. Where a child has newly pierced ears, tape or plasters must be provided from home for covering to take place.

If you have any questions regarding the uniform, please contact the school office for advice.  Any parents or carers who have difficulty in meeting the cost of school uniform are encouraged to speak to the Headteacher in confidence.  Second-hand clothing sales will also be held in school periodically.
