Geography

Our work in geography seeks to inspire children’s curiosity and fascination about the world and its people. Teaching will equip pupils with knowledge about diverse places, people, resources and natural and human environments, together with a deep understanding of the Earth’s key physical and human processes.

In Key Stage Two pupils extend their knowledge and understanding beyond the local area to include the United Kingdom and Europe, North and South America. They learn about the location and characteristics of a range of the worlds most significant human and physical features.

Through the course of their studies they will develop their use of geographical knowledge, understanding and skills to enhance their locational and place knowledge. The topics include: South America, Volcanoes and Earthquakes, Mountains, The Water Cycle and Rivers, The World and Greece.
