Art - Intent, Implementation and Impact
In their art and design education, children are given opportunities to engage, inspire and challenge their thinking, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to experiment, invent and create their own works of art, craft and design.
The curriculum is designed to enable them to produce creative work, explore their ideas and record experiences. They are taught to progressively to become more proficient at drawing, painting, sculpture and other art, craft and design techniques.
Pupils are also taught about the great artists, architects, craft makers and designers and understand the historical and cultural development of their art forms.
